Would you like to learn more about helping students improve their academic writing skills? What strategies are there and how can we as teachers become better mentors? And how do we teach and assess written assignments?
In this course, you will learn about a number of tools and approaches to help students understand the process of academic writing, as well as some theoretical underpinnings that can help teachers and supervisors guide students in their development process. Participants will gain an enhanced awareness of the writing process, discuss methods that can be used during communication training, and improve their ability to give concrete and effective feedback on students’ texts
The course is aimed at those teaching courses involving written assignments, supervising thesis projects, and anyone else who would just like to know more about the academic writing process.
