Lecture: “Sunrise - recent success and future directions in solar electricity production”
Production of electricity from sunlight using photovoltaics will be a major contributor to reducing CO2 emissions. Rapid cost reductions mean that photovoltaics are starting to undercut all other electricity sources in terms of the cost of power produced. We will introduce photovoltaic technologies, look at recent trends and see which factors are shaping the rise of this important technology.
